The Old Malvernian Rugby Club (OMRC) brings together former pupils of Malvern College who share a passion for rugby. Established to keep the spirit of the game alive among alumni, the club provides opportunities for both competitive play and social engagement. Whether you played rugby at Malvern or have developed an interest since leaving, the OMRC is a welcoming community for all levels of experience.

Our History

The OMRC has a proud tradition of rugby excellence, with members ranging from seasoned players to enthusiastic newcomers. Our club has been instrumental in maintaining the rich heritage of rugby at Malvern College, fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship that extends beyond the playing field. Through regular matches and events, we continue to honour the legacy of rugby at Malvern.

Annual Highlights

The OMRC’s calendar is packed with exciting events and matches that provide opportunities for alumni to reconnect and compete:

Annual Reunion Match: Held every summer, this match brings together current and former players for a day of competitive rugby and celebration. It’s a fantastic opportunity to relive the glory days on the pitch and strengthen old friendships.
Charity Matches: Throughout the year, the team organises charity matches to raise funds for various causes. These events combine a love of rugby with a commitment to giving back to the community.
Friendly Matches: There are regular friendly matches against other alumni clubs and local teams. These games are a great way to stay active, enjoy the sport, and meet new people.
