Welcome to the Old Malvernian Golf Society

Founded in July 1922, the Old Malvernian Golf Society (OMGS) is a distinguished and vibrant golf club that has been bringing together Malvern College alumni through the love of the game for over a century. With a history of competitive success and a commitment to fostering alumni connections, the OMGS continues to offer a range of exciting opportunities for golfers of all levels.

The OMGS was established with the goal of uniting Old Malvernians for competitive and social golf. The society’s inaugural match against the Old Carthusians in 1922 marked the beginning of a long and successful tradition. Susie Mellin, one of the society’s founders, played a key role in establishing the Halford Hewitt Tournament the following year, a prestigious competition for Old Boys’ teams from independent schools.

In recent years, the OMGS has celebrated notable victories, including winning the Bernard Darwin Senior Trophy and the Halford Hewitt in 2019, and the Bernard Darwin 55+ Trophy in 2022.

Club Highlights

The OMGS is proud to host a variety of fixtures and events throughout the year, offering members the chance to compete and reconnect with fellow alumni.
