Welcome to the Old Malvernian Football Club

Founded in 1897, the Old Malvernian Football Club (OMFC) has a distinguished history, highlighted by winning the FA Amateur Cup in 1902. Today, the club has proudly competed in the Arthurian League, a competitive league founded in 1961 by the Amateur Football Alliance. The 1st XI team has achieved several league titles over the years.

Our club also competes in the Arthur Dunn Cup and has enjoyed remarkable success with 17 victories from a record 28 final appearances. In addition, the 2nd XI team has won the Junior League Cup on four occasions.

Club Highlights

  • Fixtures are played against other Old Boys’ teams from prestigious schools including Harrow, Repton, Dulwich, Radley, Lancing, and Marlborough. Home games are held at the Brunel Sports Centre in Uxbridge, renowned for having one of the best pitches in the Arthurian League. For Arthur Dunn Cup matches, the team returns to Malvern College to showcase and hone their skills on familiar ground.
  • There is also a Veterans’ XI team that competes in both cup and friendly fixtures. This team has had recent successes, winning the Derrick Moore Veterans’ Plate in 2015 and the Derrick Moore Veterans’ Cup in both 2018 and 2019.
  • Training sessions are held every Thursday evening on a 3G pitch at Clapham Junction. In addition to regular fixtures and training, the OMFC occasionally organises exciting tours, with recent trips to Barcelona, Madrid, the South of France, Latvia, Lithuania, and Prague.
