Established in 2017, the Old Malvernian Hockey Club (OMHC) is one of the newest additions to the vibrant network of OM clubs. Since the club’s inception, it has been dedicated to creating a dynamic community for hockey enthusiasts who share a passion for the sport and a connection to Malvern College.
The women’s team made its debut at the Dean Close Sixes Tournament, while the men’s team made a memorable return to Malvern in March 2018, where they secured a victory against the College’s 1st XI team.
Since then, both the men’s and women’s teams have built a strong presence at the College. The women’s team participates in the Dean Close Tournament with increasing success and regularly returns to Malvern for pre-season training sessions with the current College team. Our teams also take part in the annual OM vs. pupils sports fixtures as part of the Commemoration celebrations each March, offering a fantastic opportunity for alumni to engage in competitive play and reconnect with their roots.
The OMHC is not just about playing hockey; it’s about continuing a tradition of sport, teamwork, and camaraderie. Here’s what you can look forward to as a member of the OMHC:
