OM CLUB // 🎾 Real tennis reunion at Hardwick House 🎾 Eight OMs enjoyed a wonderful day on the Hardwick House real tennis court on Saturday 10th October, with plenty of competitive tennis, a three-course lunch overlooking the court and a toast to the much-missed Ron Hughes. 🥂 Highlights included Over-75s World Champions Nigel Draffan (1.64–69) and Philip Shaw-Hamilton (3.65–70) coming back from 0–6, 0–4 to win in three sets! 🏆 Fancy joining next year? WELCOME BACK // 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ From national athlete to Team GB coach 🏃‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏊‍♂️ Pupils and staff at @malverncollege were privileged to hear from OM Rhys Davey (5. 04-07) Triathlon Coach for Great Britain and Head of Coaching at Leeds University. Rhys spoke openly about his journey from national athlete to leading coach, sharing stories from several Olympic and Commonwealth Games, including working with the Brownlee brothers and his now wife, Vicky Holland. 🏅 His inspiring talk highlighted the dedication and perseverance it takes to succeed in elite sport, with valuable lessons for our pupils that reach far beyond the finish line. 💪 Thank you, Rhys, for coming back to Malvern and sharing your incredible journey with us! 💚 #MalvernianSociety #MalvernCollege #OldMalvernians #RoleModels #Triathlon #TeamGB #ACommunityForLife #MalverniansForLife

WELCOME BACK // 💚 It was wonderful to welcome three recent OMs back to @malverncollege last Saturday! 💚 Mwangi Mungai (SH.21–23), Eleanor Cooper (3.18–23) and Bethan Manning (3.20–25) returned to the College that shaped them, and it happened to be Open Day! True to the Malvern spirit, they happily shared their experiences with visiting families and even joined in with a lively art workshop. 🎨 A particularly proud moment came for Mwangi, who spotted several of his award-winning artworks still on display around the College, including a striking large-scale piece right next to the Headmaster's office. It was a joy to hear how well they are all doing: Eleanor is working as a paralegal, Bethan is continuing to excel at cricket 🏏 and Mwangi is pursuing his passion for art. They also caught up with former teachers and HouseMs, with plenty of laughs and memories shared. NEWS // Malvern in Germany - Munich, Berlin and Hamburg 🍻 What a week! Last week, The Malvernian Society headed to Germany to bring together OMs, current and former parents, and friends of the College across three wonderful evenings. 📍 Munich 📍 Berlin 📍 Hamburg Each city had its own character, but all three shared the same warmth and unmistakable Malvern spirit. Highlights included reconnecting OMs with their former HouseMs (who are now very keen to join the next trip!) and welcoming families considering Malvern for their children. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to all who recommended venues, and to our brilliant hosts in each city. NEWS // Last month we were thrilled to welcome 90 Old Malvernians from No.6 and their guests back to campus for our No.6 Reunion last weekend (19th September). From its roots as a boys’ house to its transition into a vibrant girls’ house in 1992, No.6 has an incredible history. This special gathering brought together OMs hailing from eight different countries and spanning graduating classes from 1959 to 2024, representing nearly every profession imaginable. Despite – or because of – the wonderful diversity in ages, genders and backgrounds, everyone came together as one community under a shared, deep-rooted love for the College and the House. A very special thank you goes out to former Heads of House – Richard Goddard, Sue Lamberton and Ness Young – for joining us and helping make the day so memorable. And the biggest thank you goes to everyone who was able to join us on the day; we loved meeting you and hearing your memories. Do come back to see us again soon! #YourCommunityForLife
