Sue Duff

Sue Duff has Malvern College and Ellerslie School woven into her very being. Growing up in School House, where her father, Alan Duff, was Housemaster, she later attended Ellerslie before forging a career in business. Eventually drawn back to education, Sue became an educational consultant and inspector, bringing a wealth of experience to her roles as Vice-Chair of Malvern College Council and Chair of the Malvern College School Board.

Sue’s journey has taken her across industries and continents. After studying Business at Kingston University, she worked in Amsterdam before moving into education as a pioneering bursar at Wychwood School in Oxford. A shift into retail and marketing followed, but a desire for a different path led her to teach English while traveling across Asia. Returning to the UK, she embraced a full-time career in education, taking on leadership roles at Headington School and Bradfield College, later earning a master’s in educational management.

As an ISI Inspector and consultant, Sue has supported schools in areas ranging from pastoral care to compliance. She remains a strong advocate for equality at Malvern College and is proud to see the Ellerslie legacy continue within its global family. Whether championing diversity initiatives or ensuring a thriving educational environment, Sue’s commitment to the College is unwavering, making her an inspiring Malvernian role model.
