NEWS // From Canterbury all the way to Rome!🥾 Former Malvern College teacher Sophie Holroyd - joined by her recently retired husband and fellow Malvern College teacher Stephen Holroyd for the alpine legs - is on the final 4-day stretch of her monumental pilgrimage along the Via Francigena from Canterbury to the Vatican in Rome. Across their trek, they’ve crossed the Alps and traversed 5 Italian regions to raise funds for @plantyourfuture_peru, the Amazon restoration charity founded by Jenny Henman (6. 96-98). After surviving steep trail falls, snake encounters, and over 1,000 km on this second leg alone, Sophie is now powering through the final miles to Rome solo! They are right on the brink of hitting their £3,000 target to support smallholder farmers in Peru. Let’s rally behind our Malvern community and push them across the finish line! 🌲 #MalvernianSociety #MalvernCollege #PlantYourFuture #ViaFrancigena #CanterburyToRome #Fundraising
