The Old Malvernian Football Club urgently needs your help!

Join the Team and help to keep the OMFC in the FA Arthurian League and the Arthur Dunn Cup.

The OMFC has been relegated into the 2nd division off the back of a tough season, with an average of seven players a week available for league games and the remaining team supplemented by ringers. The prognosis for next season (2024-5) is bleak; with our numbers continuing to dwindle, our numbers do not currently substantiate our continuation in the FA Arthurian League or the Arthur Dunn Cup, which would end Malvern’s over 100-year involvement in these national competitions.

We are in need of new recruits; the Society is doing all it can to support the club and the joining fee for those aged under 30 has been waived this year. The OMFC is also happy to subsidise any travel costs where possible.

What is involved:

  • League fixtures against other Old Boys’ teams, including Harrow, Repton, Dulwich, Radley, Lancing and Marlborough.
  • The OMFC is based in London and offers regular training sessions at Brunel University’s Sports Centre on what is regarded as the best pitch in all five divisions.
  • 13/14 matches played on a Saturday throughout the season. Matches take place either at the school pitches of an Old Boys’ team or a ground in and around the London area.
  • Arthur Dunn Cup home games are played at Malvern College.
  • No joining fee for OMs under 30.
  • Subsidised travel available.

History: formed in 1897, the OMFC went on to win the FA Amateur Cup in 1902. Currently the OMFC plays in the Arthurian League, founded in 1961 by the Amateur Football Alliance and in the Arthur Dunn Cup, won 17 times from a record 28 final appearances.

We urge you to consider joining the OMFC. It is great fun, a brilliant way to represent Malvern College, and is another way to expand your personal (and professional) network.
