Old Malvernian Football Club History

The Old Malvernian Football Club was formed in 1897. Two OMFC teams represent the club in the Arthurian League, founded in 1961 by the Amateur Football Alliance. The OMFC also have a Vets XI which plays a number of cup and friendly fixtures during the season. The 1st XI currently play in Division 1 and have a rich history in the Arthurian League, winning league titles on no less than eleven occasions and most recently in 2008/09. The 2nd XI currently play in Division 5 and have a good history having won league titles on seven occasions. The 2015/16 season will see the Club play league fixtures against other Old Boys teams from the Arthurian league, most notably Harrow, Winchester, Brentwood, Westminster and the old enemy Shrewsbury. The OMFC also compete in the famous Arthur Dunn Cup, founded in 1903. The OMFC have a fine history in the competition winning the trophy on seventeen occasions from a record 28 final appearances. The 2nd XI compete in the Junior League Cup, founded in 1968, the OMFC have won this trophy on four occasions.

Who can play for the OMFC?

The OMFC is open to any Old Malvernian who wants to play competitive football alongside other like-minded Old Malvernians, whilst also enjoying the social aspects the OMFC has to offer such as tours, club dinners and social events. Every game takes place on a Saturday; the fixtures take place at either the school pitches of an Old Boys team or at a ground in and around the London area. The OMFC home games take place at the five star facilities of Brunel Sports Centre in Uxbridge on what is regarded as the best pitch in all 5 Divisions. The OMFC home Arthur Dunn cup games are played at Malvern College.

Old Malvernian Football Training

Training takes place during the season at Rocks Lane, Barnes every Tuesday between 7pm-8pm on a 3G Pitch.

Omfc tour

The OMFC tour every year and in the past few years the club has toured Barcelona, Madrid, South of France, Latvia, Lithuania and Prague. The last tour was to Hossegor in September 2014 and the touring dates for 2016 will be 8th - 11th September 2016. Tour Managers are William Stephenson and Joshua Hughes.
