This December, three Old Malvernians – Luke Tulacz (5.15-20), Billy Tulloch (7.16-21), and Josh Dickenson (9.16-21) – will be embarking on a marathon journey to honour their friend and fellow OM, Josh Baker (SH.16-21), who tragically passed away in May of this year.
Their marathon on Saturday 21st December will begin at Josh’s boyhood cricket club, Astwood Bank CC, a place that shaped his early love for the game. From there, the trio will run past the Worcestershire County Cricket Ground at New Road (where Josh pursued his dream as a professional cricketer) before heading to Malvern College, the backdrop of countless cherished memories the boys shared together. Their marathon will finish at Barnards Green Cricket Club, Josh’s home club.
However, this heartfelt run is about more than just covering miles, it is about supporting The Baker Foundation, a charity established by Josh’s parents to foster and support all facets of cricket, from players and ground staff to first aid teams, carrying forward the legacy of Josh’s passion for the game.
The OM trio would be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer to this cause. Whether it is spreading the word or contributing to the fundraiser, your help will make a difference. Visit their fundraising page.
