On Sunday 7th September, Georgie Poultney (EH.11–14) will be lacing up her running shoes to take on The Big Half Marathon in London. Covering 13.1 miles, Georgie is running to raise vital funds for Blood Cancer UK, a charity that holds deep personal significance for her.
Georgie’s motivation stems from her father’s recent diagnosis with blood cancer. “He is my hero,” she shared, “and I couldn’t be prouder watching him smash life with his big grin and his big Cliff energy!” Her determination to support him and others affected by blood cancer is the driving force behind her challenge.
Blood Cancer UK is dedicated to funding life-saving research, supporting patients and their families, and working towards better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
“Every step I take during this marathon is for my dad and everyone touched by blood cancer,” Georgie says. “With your help, we can make a difference. Your donation – no matter how small – will help fund critical research and bring us closer to a cure.”

Let’s rally behind Georgie and show the strength of the Malvernian community in action.
