We are proud to share that Hattie Davies (4.13–15) will be taking on the London Marathon next year, running to support the children’s charity Rays of Sunshine, a remarkable organisation dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously and terminally ill children across the UK.
Rays of Sunshine grants wishes to children aged 3–18 who are living with life-limiting conditions, regardless of race or gender. These wishes range from meeting a hero or going on a dream trip, to receiving specialist equipment that improves quality of life. Each wish creates lasting memories and offers families a much-needed escape from the daily challenges they face.
The charity also supports the hospitals, hospices, and schools that care for these children, helping to spread happiness, reduce isolation, boost confidence, and give young people the chance to simply feel like kids again – even if just for one day.
Rays of Sunshine is a charity very close to Hattie’s heart and her commitment to this cause reflects the spirit of compassion and service that defines the Malvernian community. We wish her the very best in her training and fundraising efforts and look forward to cheering her on as she takes on this incredible challenge next year.
