Our first-ever OM and EOG drinks evening in Guildford on 22nd October was a resounding success! Twenty Old Malvernians and two Ellerslie Old Girls joined Suzy Leeke, Head of Engagement, at the stylish Long Bar in the Harbour Hotel for an evening of drinks, conversation, reconnection and new introductions.
Guests had travelled from near and far – one lived just five minutes away, while another lived in Zurich but happened to be ‘passing through’. The mix of generations and backgrounds made for lively conversation, with OMs and EOGs young and old finding interesting common ground based on the shared experience of spending their formative years in Malvern. One of our EOGs in attendance was one of the first girls to have lessons with the boys at the College in the 1980s – times have certainly changed since then!
The ‘Guildford gang’ have already requested a repeat event, so look out for another date towards the end of next year. We look forward to seeing even more of you there.
