The Clark Scholarship at Malvern College

In recognition of the outstanding contribution of our former Headmaster, Antony Clark, we are launching the Clark Scholarship, to be awarded from September 2019.

The Clark Scholarship will be transformational.  It creates an opportunity for a pupil who is bright, academically curious and enthusiastic to change their life experience through education; but who is without the means to afford full school fees.  It will open the door to a first-rate education at Malvern College, and a rich variety of new experiences; and Clark Scholars will be chosen because of their potential to make the most of their time here.  We will encourage their ambition and equip them to make a dynamic and positive contribution to society in the future.

The award will be made in perpetuity from an endowment of £1.5 million and will provide 60%-100% fee assistance for a full-boarding Sixth Form place at the College. We hope that everyone who has been a part of the Malvern story since Antony's arrival in 2008 will want to record their appreciation of his achievements and commitment to the College by contributing to the Clark Scholarship endowment.

We feel this is a fitting tribute to a Headmaster who has led the school over a period of eleven extraordinary years. His tenure has seen the impressive expansion of our international footprint, and huge investment in the campus and its enviable facilities. Most importantly, however, he has been the driving force behind a superb educational establishment and a figurehead for so many pupils who have grown up to become fine exponents of the Malvern Qualities.

Antony Clark says, "I am delighted to lend my name to this award.  The enduring nature of the Clark Scholarship signifies our long-term commitment to academic rigour and diversity, and it creates a transformative opportunity for the right student: one who has the potential to embrace a Malvern College education and succeed beyond their expectations, regardless of their economic background."
