Alumni gather for university meet-up in Exeter

The Malvernian Society’s vibrant programme of alumni meet-ups in major university cities continues to gain momentum, with Exeter playing host to the latest gathering last night (Tuesday 4th March). Following a successful launch in Bristol last November, the event brought together approximately 30 Old Malvernians at the Turk’s Head in Exeter for an evening of camaraderie, fine burgers, drinks, and lively discussion.

Among the attendees were OMs currently studying at Exeter University, joined by fellow alumni who travelled from as far as London, Nottingham, Malvern, and Tewkesbury to reconnect with old friends and forge new connections. The atmosphere was both nostalgic and forward-looking, as OMs reminisced about their time at the College while sharing aspirations for the future.

The evening was hosted by Stephen Holroyd (Deputy Head, Academic), Richard Thurlow (Head of Careers and UK University Admissions), and Suzy Leeke (Head of Alumni Engagement) from Malvern College. Special thanks go to George Rose, our Exeter University OM Representative, for his efforts in bringing the group together and ensuring the success of the event.

As the programme continues to expand, we look forward to upcoming alumni gatherings in Newcastle and Durham this November.
